It’s almost my birthday and what better way to celebrate than with these confetti donuts!? I’m not sure what it is about sprinkles, but they just seem to make everything taste better.
These gluten free and vegan donuts come together fairly quickly and within an hour you’ll have a mini batch of this fun sprinkled treat!

Jump to RecipeI stay away from artificial food dyes and only use plant based food dyes and sprinkles in my baking. I used these artificial dye free sprinkles and this is the gel plant based food dye I used to make that pretty lavender icing. If you don’t avoid these, then feel free to use your preferred rainbow sprinkles & food dye for this recipe.
For this recipe you’ll need a donut pan (I use this one). If you don’t have a donut pan, you can roll the dough into balls and bake on a baking sheet and make donut holes instead. You can honestly make these donuts any shape your heart desires and they will be just as delicious.

Confetti Donuts - Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan & Dye Free
These delicious gluten free and vegan confetti donuts are the perfect treat for any celebration. You will enjoy this colorful treat!
Ingredients
Dough
- 1 1/2 cup gluten free all purpose flour 1:1 cup for cup ratio
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar or cane sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk of choice unsweetened
- 2 tbsp coconut oil melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles i used plant based ones
Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk of choice unsweetened
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- plant based food dye optional
Instructions
Dough

Preheat oven to 375° and prep a donut pan with butter or coconut oil to prevent sticking.

In a large mixing bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

In a small mixing bowl combine milk, coconut oil and vanilla extract.

Mix the liquid into the flour mixture gradually until dough forms.

Mix in the sprinkles and transfer dough to a donut pan and bake for 12-15 minutes.

Remove from oven and let cool for 30 minutes before adding the glaze.
Glaze

In a small bowl combine powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract and mix until glaze is formed. Add in desired coloring.

Dip donuts into glaze and top with sprinkles. Enjoy!
