Easy Homemade Hummus - Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Vegan

Say bye bye to store bought hummus with this simple and delicious recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas half drained, keep half of the aquafaba/chickpea juice in the can & add in with chickpeas
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • juice from 1/2 a lemon this is roughly 2 tbsp
  • 1/2 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tbsp paprika
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a food processor or blender, combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, ground cumin, paprika and salt.

  2. Blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy

  3. If the hummus seems too thick, gradually add water or aquafaba (chickpea juice) 1 tablespoon at a time and blend until desired consistency is reached.

  4. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed

  5. Enjoy!
